Elizabeth Shull

Bio

Elizabeth Shull grew up in Southern California and lives in Los Angeles. Her predominant intention is to explore, document, and viscerally translate the subtleties and surprises of the natural world, with a poetic sensitivity to the place where inner and outer landscapes meet.

Her work holds a meditative curiosity that clearly addresses her interest in exploring the nuances of time and place. Most often working on an intimate scale, she pursues concepts of grand stories told in a quiet, sublime poetic language.

Elizabeth received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MFA from Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. She has exhibited with Nino Mier NY, M+B Gallery, Simard Bilodeau Contemporary, and Harper’s Magazine among others.
